Part of the 11th Sougliani Trail festival (running since 2015), on the Stratoniko Oros mountain range around Stavros and Ano Stavros - roughly 80-100km from Thessaloniki, Serres, Drama, Kavala and Kilkis. A free, non-competitive loop from the park at the start of the pedestrian street in Stavros out toward the race's old starting point and back, meant to introduce local children to sport. Open to ages 5-12, split into two age categories (5-8 and 9-12); every finisher gets a medal. Online registration follows the same window as the adult races, but children may also register on race day at the event secretariat between 09:00 and 10:55 - in that case one parent or guardian must complete a same-day waiver on site (not required for those already registered online).
