6th edition of the "Tripletri" triathlon by the Ionas Association for People with Disabilities, held under the auspices of the General Secretariat of Sports and in cooperation with OAKA management. Unique format: swim leg in the outdoor pool (P10), bike and run legs in the OAKA parking lot, so athletes pass the start/finish area repeatedly. Endurance distance: continuous flow of swim 250m - bike 4km - run 1.2km, repeated 3 times back-to-back (total 750m swim / 12km bike / 3.6km run), finishing after the third leg. Field capped at 26 athletes per start wave. Awards for the top 3 men and women overall plus the first in each age category (16-44, 45-59, 60+; age-category awards only given if at least 3 finishers). Athletes must use a standard road bike (no triathlon/time-trial bikes); rental available via Panorama Bikes (Vyronos 19, Marousi), who also provide technical support for the race. Physiotherapy support by Fysio Gkountas (Ipeirou 6 & Rodon, Alsoupoli, Nea Ionia). Ambulance coverage by Iatriko Athinon; venue security by Argos Security. Mandatory medical certificate from a pathologist or cardiologist. Race pack pickup: Saturday, October 17, 16:00-20:00, and Sunday, October 18, 07:30-12:00, at the venue. All proceeds support the Ionas Association's therapeutic water-exercise programs for children and people with disabilities.
