Start line at the Church of the Holy Spirit on Alexis Minotis Street, in the heart of Lofoupoli. Scenic loop course through the Heraklion hills: 2 laps of 3.15km formed by Giannis Ritsos and Alexis Minotis streets, each lap with a 1.6km downhill section followed by a 1.6km uphill section. Water, soft drinks and bananas available roughly every 1.5-1.6km. Categories: Men's and Women's Overall plus age groups 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60+. Awards for the top 3 finishers overall and in each age category; finisher medal for all participants. Race pack includes bib, timing chip, t-shirt, post-race food and access to the after-party. On-site registration available up to 1 hour before the start. Medical coverage by the volunteer team "Filios Zefs" along with volunteer doctors and the Asklepieion of Crete; police coverage arranged. Co-organized with the Region of Crete and the Cultural Association "Kastro", with technical support from the Ikaros Marathon Runners Association. After-race party with live music by Maria Asteriou and Vangelis Vellos.
