The flagship race honors resistance heroine Lela Karagianni, a native of Limni. The out-and-back coastal/hill route passes restored magnesite-mine industrial monuments, the village of Katounia, Agios Georgios Vrysoulas beach (mythical site of the wedding of Zeus and Hera), and climbs the slopes of Mount Makistos to the Monastery of Agios Nikolaos Galataki, the turnaround point. Aid stations at Katounia (~4km and ~13.5km) and near the monastery turnaround (~8.75km). Minimum age 17, recent medical clearance required. All finishers receive a medal featuring Lela Karagianni; cups for the top 3 men and women overall plus age-category awards (men: U29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+; women: U29, 30-39, 40-49, 50+ - overall winners are excluded from their age-category award).
