No participation criteria required. Loop race through dense pine, chestnut and beech forest on the south side of Mount Olympus, starting and finishing in the traditional village of Palios Panteleimonas (500m alt.) facing the Aegean Sea. Route: climb to Lake Kati (K9, 1300m), descend to Palioi Poroi village (K18), climb again to Lake Kati via a different path, Metamorfosi peak (K34, 1600m) with views over the Thessalian plain, Olympus and the Aegean, Patomeni forest area near Kallipevki (K38), then mostly downhill via Ano Skotina village (K48) back to the finish. Terrain: 35km trail / 20km road. Aid stations: Lake Kati K9, Palioi Poroi K17, Vrysi Kati K28, Patomeni K36, Ano Skotina K46. Cutoffs: Palioi Poroi K17 at 3:30h into the race, Patomeni K36 at 8:30h. Valid finish time: 11.5 hours. Mandatory gear: thermal blanket, raincoat, gloves, snacks, 0.5L water, whistle, headlamp/flashlight, mobile phone, GPS device with course loaded. Recommended in case of withdrawal: spare socks, spare t-shirt, long tights, bandage. Schedule: bib pickup Fri 30/10 18:00-19:30 at the Palios Panteleimonas cultural centre, technical briefing 19:30-20:00, pasta party 20:00-21:30; bib pickup Sat 31/10 05:30-06:10; awards 15:00; event closes 19:00.
