The 8th Dromos Karydiou (Walnut Run), a mountain run on the trails and dirt roads around Pagoneri with about +450m of climbing (so no, it is not a flat walnut stroll). Part of the Walnut Festival (Γιορτή Καρυδιού) of Pagoneri, which happens every year on the first Sunday of November (so you can already mark next year too). Start and finish at the central square of Pagoneri. The race office is open at the square on race day from 9:00 to 10:00, and the awards are at 12:30. Register by 17 October 2026 if you want this year's memento, a hoodie (you can still register after that, you just get a memento from previous years instead). Payment is by bank transfer and has to be done by 27 October 2026, the bank details are on the registration page. Same morning there is also a 6 km race and a free 1 km race for kids. You run at your own risk and your own insurance, and a recent medical check-up is a must.
