The race commemorates the sacrifice of Kerdylia during World War II. A 1,000m race held alongside the main event, for primary school boys and girls, starting and finishing at the same square of Nea Kerdylia. Entries are taken on site at the race venue, one hour before the start of the race. Awards: a cup, a gold medal and a diploma to the first boy and the first girl; a silver medal and a diploma to the second; a bronze medal and a diploma to the third; commemorative medals and diplomas to all finishers. Medical requirements: participants must have been examined by a doctor before taking part. No medical certificates will be requested, as all participants compete under their sole responsibility. Athletes of SEGAS member clubs must present their athletic ID card and a health card validated as required by law; independent participants must complete the entry form / self-declaration of health certification, available at the race secretariat.
