The race commemorates the sacrifice of Kerdylia during World War II. Start and finish are at the central square of Nea Kerdylia. The course runs on public road, entirely on asphalt, from the square up to the Monument of the Fallen at the 5th kilometre and back. Elevation along the course: 10m at the start, 44m at the 1st km, 60m at the 2nd km, 136m at the 3rd km, 206m at the 4th km and 297m at the 5th km. Open to athletes registered with SEGAS member clubs, as well as to veterans and independent runners, born in 2009 or earlier. Entries are taken on site at the race venue, one hour before the start of each race. Awards: a cup, a gold medal and a diploma to the first man and the first woman; a silver medal and a diploma to the second; a bronze medal and a diploma to the third; commemorative medals and diplomas to all finishers. Medical requirements: runners must have been examined by a doctor before taking part, given the demanding nature of the race. No medical certificates will be requested from any athlete, as all participants compete under their sole responsibility, having carried out the necessary medical and cardiological checks. Athletes of SEGAS member clubs must present their athletic ID card and a health card validated as required by law. No independent runner may take part without completing the entry form / self-declaration of health certification; these forms are available at the race secretariat. The organisers bear no responsibility for injury or any other consequence suffered by a participant.
