Sixth edition of the Dirfys Trail Run. The Big Bear Downhill is a point-to-point downhill race held on the Saturday. Route: the race starts at Rachi Syka and finishes in the village of Steni, a total distance of 4km with 600m of descent. Runners set off one at a time, 30 seconds apart. The course is on technical terrain, beginning with a big 2km descent that needs care, with difficult sections on the way down, followed by an easy river crossing; the last kilometre and the final approach run through the village of Steni to the finish at the Steni Primary School. Entry includes chip timing, race bib, finisher medal, and first-aid and medical support. Payment by debit or credit card only, with a confirmation email after each registration. An optional 42K Running Ultralight Jacket can be added for an extra 23 euros. If the race cannot be held on the scheduled date it will be moved to a new date and all payments remain valid; runners who cannot attend the new date may request a refund minus a bank handling fee.
