The 5th Spata Run is organised by the Municipality of Spata-Artemida and Kinergon; the organising committee is Giorgos Paschos and Kostas Monokrousos. The races start and finish outside the D. Dimitriou Municipal Stadium of Spata. The children's races are held inside and outside the Municipal Stadium of Spata. Open to all pupils of public and private primary, junior high and senior high schools. Categories for boys and girls by birth year: 2020-2019 (1st and 2nd grade of primary school) run 200 metres; 2018-2017 (3rd and 4th grade), 2016-2015 (5th and 6th grade), 2014-2013 (junior high school) and 2012-2005 (senior high school) run 1,000 metres. Runners should arrive at least 45 minutes before the start. Race numbers for the 1,000m children's races can be collected on Friday 27 November 18:00-21:00, Saturday 28 November 11:00-14:00 and Sunday 29 November 07:00-08:00. Every child receives a commemorative metal medal; the first 3 of each category are awarded, except for the boys and girls of the 1st and 2nd grade of primary school who run the 200m. The 200m children's race has no electronic timing. A supervised area is provided for personal belongings, marked with the race number. An ambulance with full equipment, two rescuers and a doctor are on site throughout the event. By submitting the entry form the parent or guardian consents to the child's participation; participants must have had a medical and cardiological examination before the race, and the organisers will not ask for medical certificates. If the race is postponed due to unforeseen circumstances it will be held on the first available Sunday within one month.
