Circular 5km route (+120m) on asphalt and forest roads around Loutropolis Methana, suitable for both competitive runners and beginners, and a good shake-out for the trail runners. Start and finish at Methana Port at 16:00. Course marking: purple. Route: 600m north along the seafront, then 1,200m uphill with panoramic views of the sea and the spa town, a left turn onto a side road that soon becomes a dirt road descending gently for 1,500m through olive groves on a steep slope, over the small bridge and up the last, demanding climb to the square, through the old village of Vromolimni and down the final descent to the port. Water at the finish. Entry includes Chronolog electronic timing and a finisher medal. Cups to the top 3 men and women overall. Awards ceremony Sat 21/11 at 17:00 on the Methana seafront.
