Popular 5km road race around the village of Megali Panagia, held on the same day as the XeSkouriaZo mountain running races, organized since 2013 and dedicated to the struggle against the gold-copper mining that threatens NE Chalkidiki. Start and finish at the 'Chorostasi' square. For 2026 a small entry fee is introduced for the first time, covering exclusively the electronic timing and a participation memento; anyone who wishes to run or walk the course freely without timing/bib can do so at no cost. All finishers receive a medal, a memento gift and a participation diploma. Awards for the top 3 men and women overall. Limited on-site registrations may be available on race day until 09:00. During the event there are activities for children and adults, and after the awards a traditional feast with the live band 'Dromolagnoi' takes place at the village square. Free overnight stay is offered the day before the race in shared guesthouses (10 persons each) at the Pilgrimage of Megali Panagia, 1.5km from the village, and free camping with WC is available at the same spot; bring sheets, sleeping bags or blankets and contact the organizers at least 15 days in advance.
