Important Information
Mountain running race on the lower slopes of Mount Olympus, held annually on the second Sunday of December, the same day as the Winter Enipeas, organised by Olympus Marathon in cooperation with the Municipality of Dion-Olympos, the Regional Unit of Pieria and the Region of Central Macedonia.
Olympia Monopatia was created by Olympus Marathon as an awareness campaign for the rare endemic plants of Olympus: more than 1,700 plant species have been recorded on the mountain (about 25% of the Greek flora), 187 of them rare, and 23-25 endemic species found nowhere else in the world (Viola, Campanula, Lilium / red lily, Achillea, Centaurea and others); each edition is dedicated to and named after one honoured endemic plant.
Start and finish at the small theatre of Litochoro Municipal Park.
Moderate-difficulty course with relatively gentle gradients on all types of terrain (trail, dirt road, asphalt).
One aid station at Kopana (km 5, 550 m), which is also a checkpoint; soft drink, water and fruit at the finish.

Registration opens Thursday 17/09/2026.
