Non-competitive run that opens Marathon Month 2026, starting from the entrance of the Tomb of Marathon (Tymvos) archaeological site and finishing at the Marathon Run Museum, via Archia, Agias Marinas and Dimokratias streets. Meeting point at the entrance of the archaeological site at 17:00. A 5.5 km hike on the same route starts at 17:10, guided by Periklis Vyltaniotis of EPOS Marathonos "Marathon Paths"; hikers register through the same form. Commemorative medals, water, soft drinks and a light snack at the finish. Support vehicles accompany the route, and after the event runners and hikers are driven back to their cars at the Tymvos. At 18:30 the official opening of Marathon Month 2026 takes place at the museum, with soprano Theodora Rousi performing her hymn to the Battle of Marathon "Ellinon Promachountes" and traditional Greek dances by the Politistikes Apopeires dance group.
