Now in its 3rd consecutive year, Mathia Run starts/finishes at the old village school and climbs toward the central church of Agioi Pantes before continuing toward Amariano and back, with a shared ~600m dirt section (the toughest part of the course) near the Metochi area, home to the centuries-old "Prinos tou Ismail" holm oak. Field capped at 300 runners across all races. Walking is allowed on the 5K, provided the 1h20min time limit is met. Electronic chip timing. Awards for the top 3 men and women, plus top 3 juniors (under 18), on the 5K. 3 water stations on the 5K course. Post-race celebration with food, music and Cretan hospitality.
