The flagship distance of the Karpenissi Trail weekend, run on the slopes of Mount Kaliakouda in Evrytania. Race packet pickup starts at 14:00 on October 3 at the Registration Office in Megalo Chorio; mandatory technical briefing at 19:15 that evening at the village's Folklore Museum, followed by a pasta party at 19:45. The route climbs out of the village (700m) via forest track and mountain path M3, crosses alpine terrain to reach the race's highest point at 1920m around km 6-7, then follows the exposed, rocky Mega Isoma ridge before descending through the village of Aniada (km 13.5) and looping back over the Xerovouni ridge and Pinakakia peak (1562m) to finish in Megalo Chorio. Technical, rocky sections along the ridgeline require care, especially in poor visibility. 6 aid stations on course, with snacks available at km 6, 13.5 and 17. Awards ceremony at 15:00; the event concludes at 15:30.
