Organized by the Municipality of Pogoni to mark the historic "OXI", the Road of Victory opens for the 7th time the "KALPAKIA" commemorative events, which culminate on 28 October. Start and finish at the Pogoni Town Hall on the central square of Kalpaki. Asphalt route with few, low elevation differences. The route passes through historic sites of the Greek defensive line of 1940 (Kalamas river, foot and summit of Machitis hill, Vella Monastery). Water station at km 4.5. Water, banana, chocolate milk, cereal bar and local treats for all runners at the finish. Awards for the top 3 men and women overall and in age groups up to 39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60+ (overall winners are not awarded again in their age group). Additional awards for the top 3 men and women from the Armed Forces and Security Forces (declare it when registering). Maximum 300 runners combined for the 21 km and 9 km races. Participation is free; each runner may register for only one race, so please register responsibly. Runners must be 18+; under-18s may take part only with a signed declaration from their guardian. Bib pickup on race day 07:45-08:45 at the secretariat at the start area, where a volunteer-guarded drop-bag area will also be available; if bibs are handed out on earlier dates, registrants will be notified by email.
