Third edition of the EEA ATHENS RUN, run entirely inside the Pedion tou Areos park in central Athens. Runners gather, start and finish at the Equestrian Statue of King Constantine I; access to the site is through the King Constantine statue entrance. Open to members of the Professional Chamber of Athens, employees of member businesses, gym members, recreational runners, club runners, friends of the running movement, secondary school students and anyone else who wishes to take part. Run under SEGAS regulations. Two categories, women and men. Water is handed out at the 3rd kilometre. A cup, medal and diploma go to the winner of each category, a medal and diploma to the second and third; every finisher receives a commemorative medal and diploma. Each entrant also gets a race bib, a commemorative event T-shirt, electronic timing, bottled water, a post-race snack and medical cover during the race. Race pack pickup at the offices of the Professional Chamber of Athens, 44 Panepistimiou & Charilaou Trikoupi, 1st floor: Wednesday 14 October 10:00-15:00, Thursday 15 October 10:00-15:00 and Friday 16 October 10:00-15:30. No race pack is handed out on race day; proof of payment of the entry fee must be shown at pickup. Bags can be left at the personal belongings desk next to the race secretariat from 09:30 until the end of the race, and are returned on presentation of the race bib, starting 10 minutes after the first runners of each distance finish.
