Starts at the Trophy of Leuktra, 1.5km outside the village, marking the 371 BC battle between Thebes and Sparta. Route: Tropaio - Leuktra - Kaparelli - Melissochori - Loutoufi - Tachi - Thiva, finishing at Thiva Central Square. Five aid stations along the way. Ages 18+. Age categories (men/women): 18-30, 31-44, 45-60, 61+. Awards ceremony at 12:30 at Thiva Central Square; top 3 in each category receive prizes from the City Museum. Runner transport from Thiva Central Square to the start departs 08:00-08:30 (extra bus from Athens available for a 10 euro surcharge). Personal belongings are transported by the organizers from start to finish.
