Point-to-point road race on public roads: Arkadi Monastery → Amnatos → Kyriana → Loutra Rethymno (finish at the birthplace of Louis Tikas). Race named in memory of Elias Spantidakis (known as Louis Tikas in America), a Rethymno-born labour activist who led the coal miners' struggle for humane working conditions in the USA. Age requirement: born 2008 or earlier (18+). Time limit: 19:45 (1h15m from start). Bus departs KTEL Chanion-Rethymno at 16:30 on race day to the start; drivers who take their own vehicles will be transported back to the start after the race. Race pack pickup: Sunday 28 June, 17:00–18:15 at Arkadi Monastery. Each participant receives: race bib with chip timing, commemorative medal, commemorative t-shirt. Personal items must be handed to organizers at least 30 minutes before start. Awards: cups for top 3 men and top 3 women. Medical coverage: Samaritans/Rescuers of Rethymno, doctor and ambulance on standby. Post-race awards ceremony and refreshments at the Cultural Association courtyard in Loutra.
