Returning after a 6-year absence (last held 11 August 2019), the historic Leivathonios marks its 32nd edition. The race began in August 1989 when around thirty people gathered in Metaxata for the first edition. The route starts at the historic olive tree of Monopoli in Metaxata and passes through Agia Paraskevi, Travliata, Lakithra, the road toward the airport, Sarlata and Kourkoumelata, finishing near Marina cafe. Race-day bib pickup opens at 17:00. Awards ceremony at 20:30 among the pines in Kourkoumelata, near Marina cafe. Entry fee includes the anniversary t-shirt.
