Point-to-point course starting at Petra tou Romiou (Aphrodite's Rock) and finishing at the 13th-century Pafos Castle in Kato Pafos. Minimum age 18 on race day. Runners who have not passed the 21km checkpoint within 3 hours 15 minutes are withdrawn and transported to the finish. Runners projected to finish after 5 hours 30 minutes may be asked to continue on the pavement so roads can reopen. Fluid stations every 2.5km (water every 2.5km; water, electrolytes and sponges every 5-7.5km), plus bananas and Coca-Cola. Marathon runners are transferred by bus to the start line from Kato Pafos Main Bus Station between 05:30 and 05:50. Race number and goody bag pickup at the Marathon Expo, 'En Plo' Exhibition Hall, 100 metres from Pafos Castle: Friday 26 February 09:00-13:00 and 14:00-18:00, Saturday 27 February 09:00-12:30 and 13:00-18:00. The 1st man and 1st woman are honoured with a gold-immersed olive wreath from Marathon, Athens. Teams of four or more runners are automatically entered in the team competition (first four runners count). Trophies for the top 3 of each age category (18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+).
