Backyard Ultra format: a 6.706km loop starting from the Stoupa Cultural Center, following the bike path out to the eastern edge of Agios Nikolaos (Selinitsa) and back the same way (out-and-back), 100% paved, ~60m gain per loop. A new loop starts every hour on the bell; runners must be in the starting corral ("To Mandri") before the signal and finish the previous loop within 60 minutes to continue, or are declared DNF. No outside support along the course — support crews may only assist at the Race Village. The race continues until a single runner remains, crowned "Last One Standing"; the top 3 women and top 3 men are awarded as Last One Standing, First Assist, and Second Assist. Official international Backyard Ultra rules take precedence throughout. Schedule: Friday Dec 11, 17:00-20:00 race pack pickup and 20:00 race briefing; Saturday Dec 12, 08:00-09:30 remaining pack pickup, 09:30-09:50 runner presentation and orientation at the corral, 10:00 race start. Aid station at the Race Village (indoors at the Cultural Center) offers water, electrolytes, salt sticks, fresh fruit, savory snacks and sweets throughout; from the 3rd hour onward, live cooking by a professional chef with a nutritionist, featuring local Mani gastronomy. Officially listed on the international Big's Backyard Ultra calendar, so performances count towards its global ranking and qualification system. Three sound signals precede each start: three whistles with three minutes to go, two whistles at two minutes and one whistle at 60 seconds, by which point every runner must be inside the corral. A headlamp is not required at night, but light-coloured or reflective clothing is recommended for safety. Entries are capped to ensure quality support per runner; entrants state their longest-ever running distance so the organizers can tailor support. Minimum age 18. Doctor and ambulance present throughout. Documentary and promotional filming will take place at the Race Village/corral only.
