Co-organized by the Region of Crete and the Municipality of Agios Nikolaos, held on the eve of the feast of Prophet Elijah of Ammoudara. The loop course starts beneath the Prophet Elijah church, heading west toward Mardati, then north to the Almyros wetland, then east to a viewpoint (Paratheiri), completing two laps back to the start/finish point. Route is walkable and open to any age. One water station, at the Almyros wetland. Categories: overall men's and women's standings, plus age divisions (under 39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+) for both men and women. Trophies for the top 3 men and top 3 women overall. Entry package includes technical t-shirt, race bib, electronic timing, medal, and refreshments (water, fruit, juice, snacks). Medical, police, and Samaritan support on site.
