Two laps along the Faliro Bay waterfront on a certified course closed to traffic, and so flat that the organizers don't even publish the elevation (their words: negligible). The highlight is the stretch on the Esplanade rooftop promenade, which also has a guide path for blind runners. Open to runners aged 18 and over. Time limit is 3 hours: after that the police reopen Poseidonos Avenue and anyone still out continues on the sidewalk at their own responsibility. Aid stations roughly every 2.5 km (water and banana, plus isotonic at km 5, 10 and 15) and pacers when available. Entry includes chip timing with several split points, medal, diploma, free personalised photos and baggage storage. Commemorative t-shirt is optional: €19 cotton or €19 technical, €38 for both (Enhanced package). Prices go up on the date shown or when each block of 500 entries fills, whichever comes first, so the early bird really does get the worm here. Residents outside the EU pay €10 more per tier. Groups of 10 or more register through a team captain, same prices. 50% off for runners who have finished every previous Poseidon half marathon or relay (minimum €15). Free entry for athletes with visual or hearing impairment and people with disabilities who register by 20 March (medical certificate required, 5% quota). Last minute entries after 3 April only by arrangement with the organizers. Fees are non refundable (check the cancellation and transfer policy on the official site before you register). Cap is 5,000 entries for the half and quarter marathon together (about 80% half, 20% quarter). The half marathon relay is not held this year. Bib pickup at the Sofia Befon indoor gym, 200 m past the Averof battleship (tram stops Trokadero or Agia Skepi): Thu 22 and Fri 23 April 12:00 to 20:00, Sat 24 April 11:00 to 19:00 (team captains can also come Wed 21 April 15:00 to 20:00). There is no pickup on race day, so don't leave it for Sunday morning. Bring your confirmation email and an ID. Baggage drop at the same gym, at the latest 30 minutes before your start (bib number stuck on the bag, no valuables), open until 14:00.
