Circular asphalt route traversing through Sparta. First ~2km downhill, km 3–15 gradual incline, after km 13 undulations, final ~2km almost entirely uphill. Course guarded from vehicles. Hidden checkpoint at an undisclosed location on the route. Aid stations every ~4km (water & Coca Cola). Electronic chip timing (shoe chip placed on shoe, returned after race). Medical coverage: Sparta General Hospital ambulance throughout the race. Age categories — Men: ≤29, 30–45, 46–59, 60+. Women: ≤39, 40+. Awards: cup + medal to top 3 overall men and women; cups to top 3 per age category (Men: ≤29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60+; Women: 20–39, 40–49, 50+). Overall category winners excluded from age category awards. Commemorative medal to all finishers. Minimum age: 18 years old. Recent medical examination required.
