Global charity event raising awareness for stray and abused animals in Greece, held the same day in cities worldwide. Held at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC), Leof. Syngrou 364, Kallithea; meeting point and finish are at Cafe Canal on the north bank of the Canal. Meeting time 07:30, strict start at 08:30, max completion time 2 hours. Route: one loop around the Canal plus four loops of the SNFCC bike path. Open to running, walking or cycling; cyclists must park bikes safely before joining the Canal loop, where bikes are not allowed. Dogs are welcome if kept on a leash and accompanied. All participants get a wristband redeemable for water and bananas along the route; dogs receive a Penny Marathon bandana. No bag storage on site - arrange for someone to hold belongings or leave them in a car. A donation via the site or a bag of dog/cat food is welcome instead of cash.
