A figure-eight course through the dunes and cedar forest of Issos beach in southern Corfu, next to Lake Korission, run entirely on sand and dirt track with the lake on one side and the sea on the other. Starts and finishes at the beach parking area, with the cedar-forest section beginning around the 3.5km mark before returning along the beach. Time limit is 1 hour 30 minutes. Water stations at roughly 1.7km and 4km double as checkpoints; runners who aren't checked in are disqualified. Bib numbers must stay visible and shoes/shirts must be worn throughout. Age categories run from 13-17 up to 61+, men and women separately, with cup and medal for the top three of each; all finishers get a commemorative medal. Online registration is free via korissos.gr until Thursday, September 3, 23:30, with on-site sign-up on race day until 15:00 for late entrants. Bibs can also be collected in advance on Thursday, September 3, 09:30-13:30, at the Laodamas offices (104 Ioannou Theotoki St, Corfu Town).
