Start and finish at Profitis Ilias, Kastaneri.
Mountain route on trails (15km) and forest roads (5km) between 900m and 1350m altitude, with demanding, technical sections on steep terrain requiring prior mountain-race experience; expect mud, water and possibly snow.
Part of the course follows newly opened trail through previously untouched sections of the mountain — runners are expected to show care and respect, and the organizing committee may disqualify anyone who doesn't.
Three aid stations en route (approx.
km 6.7 "Pentelas", km 11 "Stravopotamos", km 16 "Palaiochori") with water, isotonic drink and snacks.
Bib pickup race day 07:30-09:15 at the start venue.
Field capped at 250 runners.
Entrants must be 18+; minors may take part with signed parental consent and must be accompanied by an adult runner.
Categories: overall plus men's/women's 18-30, 31-50, 51+, and a Masters 60+ (winner only).
Awards: medal for every finisher, prizes for the top 3 overall and age-category winners, gifts for 2nd/3rd in each category; race gift, aid/support, sapling to plant, and post-race buffet and soup at the finish.
Entrants race at their own risk/insurance and sign an electronic waiver; recent medical clearance recommended.
Payment due at registration or via bank transfer (Alpha Bank, IBAN GR32 0140 5190 5190 0200 2000 043, beneficiary Mountain Club Goumenissa, depositor's name required) by October 18, 2026, after which unpaid entries are removed from the list; for group transfers, email names to ospegoumenissas@gmail.com.
Course marked at all junctions with extra markers at difficult points.
Runners not clearing the central checkpoint by 12:00 must surrender their bib and are shuttled to the finish by organizers; continuing past that point is at the runner's own risk.
Cutoff times may be extended depending on weather and trail conditions.
