New distance making its debut in the anniversary 10th edition, organised by the Municipality of Marathon under the motto "Inspired by the past, with a vision for the future". Start and finish at the historic start line of the Athens Authentic Marathon: runners follow Marathonos Avenue towards Nea Makri all the way to the municipal boundary before Rafina, turning around at Chrysostomou Smyrnis street, return along Marathonos Avenue, turn right onto Marathonomachon street to loop around the Tumulus of Marathon and finish back at the start. Aid stations at km 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10, 13, 16, 18.8, 22, 25 and 27.6; chemical toilets at two or more points; medical support at the start/finish and along the course; water and bananas at the finish. Open to runners aged 18 and over; para-athletes welcome in all races (note it in the registration comments or email info@myrace.gr). Timing mats at the start, turnaround and finish; runners without a reading at these points are disqualified. Medals (gold, silver, bronze) to the top 3 men and women overall, cup to the winners; age-group awards (up to 29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+) shown in the official results and e-certificate. Finisher medal for everyone. Individual and group entries (5+ people, any race mix) at the same price; names printed on bibs for entries completed by 9 October 2026. Race kit pickup at the Nea Makri Municipal Building (Town Hall), 104 Marathonos Ave, on Saturday 17/10 11:00-17:00, or on race day at the start from 07:30 with the official confirmation email; no new registrations at the secretariat. Be at the start at least 60 minutes before your race; bag storage at the start with the sticker from the race kit. Refunds by email to info@myrace.gr until Friday 2 October 2026 at 12:00; no refunds or transfers afterwards. Awards ceremony at 11:05 at the start area.
