Important Information
MAIN ROUTE: 98-hour ultra marathon retracing Phidippides' historic 490 BC run from Athens Ancient Agora to Sparta and back.
Route passes through: Eleusina, Megara, Ancient Corinth, Ancient Nemea, Artemisio mountain (1,227m), and Sparta's Leonidas statue.

NO COMPETITIVE PREREQUISITES - anyone can participate regardless of prior experience.
Medical certificate (not older than 6 months) required at race pickup.
Registration deadline: 30 September 2026.
Entry fee: €300 (until 28/02/2026) or €350 (from 01/03/2026, for those permanently residing in Greece with 50% discount).
FINISHER REWARDS: Medal, diploma, commemorative t-shirt, and finisher gift.
COURSE SUPPORT: 77 feeding stations total; 11 main aid stations with hot food (vegetarian/non-vegetarian options), rest facilities, and personal supply depots.
Electronic chip timing with GPS tracking device (SOS button) provided to all runners.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: Reflective clothing/vest, functional headlamp, and red rear light mandatory from dusk to dawn.
Waterproof jacket required.
Support vehicles allowed only at official feeding stations (30m rule) - unauthorized assistance results in disqualification.
MEDICAL: Full coverage throughout course (doctors, paramedics, EKAB).
Multiple hospitals on alert.
No hotel accommodation permitted during race.
