**Major Event:** The 14th Athens Half Marathon attracts approximately 25,000 runners annually. **Historic Route:** Course passes through 40 historic monuments in Athens' historic city center, including Queen Amalia Avenue, University Street, Stadiou Street, and Mesogion Avenue. **Start & Finish:** Queen Amalia Avenue at Unknown Soldier Monument (Syntagma). **Age Requirement:** 18 years and older (born 2008 or earlier). **Participation Limit:** 12,000 runners maximum. **Time Limit:** 3 hours from last wave start (11:45 AM cutoff). **Wave Starts:** Seven staggered waves between 8:10-8:40 AM, organized by recent race performance. Wheelchair participants start 5 minutes early. **Aid Stations:** Support stations at approximately 2-3 km intervals with water, isotonic drinks, and energy gels.
